Lets face it, winter started a month ago, but "Winter Winter" is approaching so its time to splurge on a winter jacket, something that is going with hold, wind, hail, rain. Lots and lots of rain and keep you warm in these winter month.
The best thing about parkers is that if you are willing to spend a decent amount and by decent amount we mean over £150 you can get a parker jacket that is going to last you a good five years.
We may not all be able to afford Vetements Red Canada Goose Parker so that's why we have found this equally remarkable parker from Superdry, at a much more affordable price.
When looking for a jacket, try to look for one that is filled with feathers look for Goose feathers rather than Duck. Goose down is light weight but the clusters are larger than Duck making them more durable. This isn't always possible so if you find a jacket that you like ( like Vetement's Jacket ) spoil yourself on it anyway.
Feather down however will not keep you insulated if it gets wet, so you need to make sure that the jacket you buy is waterproof, and make sure that it is waterproof rather than showerproof! Showerproof jackets will protect you from the quick down fall you get caught in between the office and the shop, but won't help you when you're running for 5 minutes to make your train to work in heavy downpour.
If you can buy a RDS jacket. RDS stands for Responsible Down Standard and is a certificate that can be obtained to show that the feathers have be ethnically sourced.
