The embroidered bomber is this seasons signature style of outerwear, with Louis Vuitton, Gucci and Dries Van Noten all heavily featuring the design in their SS16 collections. Street style innovators were seen to have already caught on, with the jacket a recurrent trend on the pavements of London Fashion Week last month. Otherwise known as the ‘souvenir jacket’, it originated in post-WWII Japan when occupying American soldiers commissioned them to commemorate their time overseas.
